Interior Design FAQ’s

  • Are you a Contractor?

We are not a contractor of any kind, meaning we are not able to perform work or hire anyone on the behalf of our client to perform work. At Wren House Design, we provide our clients with all the specifications and detailed drawing that a contractor would need in order to perform the work for your project.

  • What Can I Expect When Hiring a Designer?

As an interior design firm, we are experts in our field and are here to educate our clients on the process of their remodel or new construction build, as well as materials and applications that come with design. There are a million decisions to be made and when our clients trust the design process and our vision for their project, it makes those decisions stress free and accelerates the overall time in design phases, ultimately getting them to completion quicker. It is our goal to deliver the best designs possible within each client’s budget, executing on high level designer details, top of the line finishes and furnishings, and selections down to the grout color. We believe design is a collaboration between the client and designer and the end result will reflect the many thoughtful selections and time that went into it.

  • How Much Does It Cost?

Our design fees vary depending on the scope of the project, including factors like square footage, project type, and the estimated time required. After our initial consultation, we’ll provide a detailed, tailored quote that reflects the unique needs of your project.

  • Do We Get To See The Materials or Go To Showrooms?

Absolutely! This is when the fun begins! After presenting our clients with a digital overview, we gather all the materials for in-person review. During this phase, clients can touch each material, see its true color and texture, and decide whether they want to confirm it for their project. Additionally, we enjoy taking our clients to view appliances and plumbing fixtures in person, as we know seeing these key elements live helps with finalizing decisions.es here

  • How Long Does a Typical Project Take?

Every project varies based on the scope of work and client involvement. Some clients are extremely open and enthusiastic about the designs from the start, while others require multiple revisions. For projects with a smaller scope, the design process may take a minimum of one month, whereas a new large custom home can take upwards of 10 to 12 months to complete.

  • Can You Help Me With A Single Room In My Home?

At this time, we’re focusing on larger-scale projects and custom homes. Currently, we take on remodels with a minimum construction budget of $200,000 and furniture projects with a minimum spend of $30,000. These budgets are exclusive of our design fees.

  • Do You Work Outside of Arizona?

We do! We have worked with several clients outside of Arizona, whether they had a second home here or needed help designing their home in another state. Designing for clients who are not local presents many challenges, but it can be accomplished through effective communication and as many in-person meetings as possible. If you are a client outside of Arizona interested in our design services, we would love to discuss customizing a schedule for estimated travel that aligns with your needs and our design process.

  • Will you manage contractors and vendors?

While we work closely with builders, contractors, and vendors to ensure a cohesive design vision, we do not manage those relationships directly. You will contract separately with each professional involved in designing and building your home. The builder is responsible for managing the construction schedule and overall project coordination. Although our design process includes scheduled site visits and meetings to stay aligned, overseeing construction management is outside the scope of our services.

  • How involved will I be in the design process?

We believe in a collaborative design approach where your input and honesty are essential. After all, this is your home—a space meant to reflect you and your family’s lifestyle. While we lead the process by thoughtfully curating options and guiding what you see and select, we’re always open to your feedback and ideas. Your scope of work includes up to three revisions, so there’s plenty of room to refine and tailor the design together until it feels just right.
