Our Next Chapter Has an Address, our Wren House Studio

This one has been a long time coming.

I’ve spent nearly a decade in the interior design industry, working for other people, learning every side of design, building relationships, leading departments, and, in many ways, helping run businesses that weren’t my own. Two years ago, I finally had the realization that maybe all of that experience was preparing me to build something for myself. I had the knowledge, the network, the industry relationships, and enough experience behind me to know I was capable - so I took the leap and started Wren House Design.

Fast forward almost two years, and somehow, Wren House has a house.

The way this studio came to us makes it feel even more meant to be. Through mutual connections, we learned that the previous tenants were looking for someone to take over their space. What could have been a difficult situation for them became an incredible opportunity for us, and all the pieces seemed to fall into place at exactly the right time. Before we knew it, we had the keys to our first studio in Gilbert.

Then came three very busy weeks of making it ours. We brought in our sample library and cabinetry, completely updated the bathroom, painted, installed trim, built and drywalled pony walls, hung and relocated lighting, moved furniture, styled shelves and tackled about a hundred other little things in between. It was fast, a little chaotic, and completely worth it. Slowly, the space started to feel less like somewhere we had moved into and more like Wren House.

And then we got to fill it with people.

We opened our doors for the first time surrounded by friends, family, clients, builders, industry connections, fellow designers, and so many of the people who have supported Wren House along the way. Standing in a space that had existed only as an idea a few weeks earlier and seeing it full of people we love and respect felt completely surreal.

But the part we’re most excited about is that this is only the beginning. We want this studio to be a place where clients feel welcome, builders can pull up a chair, samples cover the tables, ideas take shape, and our team continues to grow. We’re dreaming about workshops, events, collaborations, and plenty more reasons to open our doors and bring people together.

We’re incredibly grateful to officially put down roots in Gilbert and continue building relationships throughout the surrounding Arizona communities we call home. Here’s to more projects, more people around the table, a growing team, bigger dreams and whatever comes next.
